This painting, by the master Antioco Mainas, dates back to 1565 and comes from the chapel of the Home of the City.
The austere representation of Our Lady with the Divine Infant is in the middle, among the Sts. Andrea and Giovanni Battista, invoked as protectress of the five Councillors of Royal City of Oristano, in office during the years 1564-1565. The five Councillors are on their knees, with their names on their robes; you can also see the bags that refer to the election system of Civic Council.
