The memory of the city, from the kings of Arborea to the kings of Sardinia

The picture gallery houses several inscriptions that date back to the Age of the Giudicato d'Arborea and Spanish and Savoy period.

Aristane became urban centre in the 13th century, when the "Judge" Mariano II built a wall around the city, with 27 towers and two main entrances each one protected by a massive tower: the tower of Saint Philip in order to defend the south- west entrance (Porta Mari) and the tower fo Saint Christopher in the north entrance (Porta Manna or Porta Ponti).

· Inscription of the tower of Saint Philip (1293)
· Inscription of the tower of Saint Christopher (1289/1290)
· Commemorative plaque for the restoration of the church of Saint Vincent martyr (1656)
· Commemorative inscription for the restoration of the bridge over Tirso river
· Marble stoup
· Coat of arms of the Reign of Spain
