This collection consists of ceramic and lithic materials which date back to a period between the prenuragic age and the Roman age.
Prenuragic period
A kidney-shaped clay weight, a trapezoidal weight and a campana vase (Beacker culture) from one of the tombs of S.Vittoria- Nuraxinieddu.
Nuragic period
A model of nuraghe made of chalky sandstone from the complex of Cannevadosu-Sinis (Cabras), a spoon-shaped oil lamp, an incomplete pintadera, a fragment of askos jug from the Sinis of Cabras and an integral askos jug from the Nuragic village of Cungiau ‘e Funtana – Nuraxinieddu (first half of the 7th century BC).
Phoenician- Punic period
A shell-shaped oil lamp with slip decoration (half of the 7th century BC), an Etruscan bucchero kantharos (600-580 BC) from the tofet of Tharros, Phoenician and Punic cinerary urns, a stele with the sign of Tanit from the area of Monte Prama-Cabras, two Punic-Roman funerary stele with a schematic representation of a human face (Sinis of Cabras), a number of kernophoroi in the shape of a female bust from a sanctuary in the territory of Oristano and a goddess on the throne wearing a necklace with three rows of pendants (end of the 5th century BC).
This collection includes Roman objects as the fragment of a marble statue with lorica armour from Tharros (?), cinerary urns, fine black glazed tableware (Italic sigillata and African sigillata “A”), unguentary vases and thin-walled drinking jars.
